Systems and methods for intrusion detection using GHz beams
DWPI Title: Intruder detection system, has set of transmitter/receiver modules for creating beam grid formed of set of beams with specific frequency, and transmitter comprising set of beam generators that generates beams of different frequencies
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that use 1 GHz to 1000 GHz sources and sensors to create an intrusion detection array that does not have the physical limitations of an Active IR sensor. The array is created by a plurality of wave sources and sensor pairs that form a plane of wave break beams. The plane detects an intruder as he/she passes through the beams.
Use: Intruder detection system.
Advantage: The system is less prone to nuisance alarm rate sources, and reliably functioned when a sensor is subjected to low sun angles.
Novelty: The system has a set of transmitter/receiver modules (106) for creating a beam grid (109) formed of a set of beams (108) with frequency between 1 gigahertz and 1000 gigahertz. The set of the beams includes beam divergence between 0.01 degree and 5 degree. The transmitter/receiver modules comprise a transmitter (110) and a receiver (112) placed at distance from the transmitter. The transmitter comprises a set of beam generators that generates the beams of different frequencies. An alarm system (114) is connected to the set of the transmitter/receiver modules. The receiver includes electronics that distinguish the simultaneously received beams of the different frequencies. The alarm system determines direction of intrusion.
