Computer processing through distance-based quality score method in geospatial-temporal semantic graphs

DWPI Title: Method for enhancing processing of overhead image data of high school campus by computer, involves sorting overall match quality scores into ordered list by processor, and displaying ordered list on display device
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of improving processing of overhead image data by a processor using a distance-based quality score in a geospatial-temporal semantic graph. An allowable range for each attribute in the subgraph search template is defined. For each match in a comparison, attribute values of each match element are compared against the preferred range and the allowable range to compute a corresponding distance of each match attribute from the subgraph search template. A corresponding overall match quality score is determined for each match from the subgraph search template, wherein determining the corresponding overall match qualities is performed using a corresponding required quality score and a corresponding optional quality score. All corresponding overall match quality scores are sorted into an ordered list and then displayed.
Use: Method for enhancing processing of overhead image data of a high school (HS) campus by a computer (claimed) using a distance-based quality score in a geospatial-temporal semantic graph.
Advantage: The method enables efficiently searching graph for patterns-of-interest that is represented with a hub-and-spoke star template to find closely-coupled collection rate of related components using a heterogeneous complex search algorithm so as to enhance search capability and efficiency. The method enables reducing time consumption to manually search wide areas for items of specific interest when the task requires identification of change across multiple images over time.
Novelty: The method (100) involves converting distance to an optional quality score for multiple match elements in an optional set of nodes by a processor, where each optional quality score comprises a distance-based quality score (110). An overall match quality score for each match from a subgraph search template is determined by the processor, where determining the corresponding overall match qualities is performed using the corresponding required quality score and the corresponding optional quality score. The corresponding overall match quality scores are sorted (112) into an ordered list by the processor. The ordered list is displayed (114) on a display device.
