Apparatus for assembly of microelectronic devices

DWPI Title: Microelectronic device transport method for parallel assembly of microelectronic device on photovoltaic module involves rotating roller assembly to transport microelectronic device from carrier substrate to receiving substrate
Abstract: An apparatus including a carrier substrate configured to move a microelectronic device. The apparatus further includes a rotatable body configured to receive the microelectronic device. Additionally, the apparatus includes a second substrate configured to receive the microelectronic device from the rotatable body.
Use: Microelectronic device transport method for parallel assembly of microelectronic device e.g. solar cell on photovoltaic module.
Advantage: Solar cells are assembled onto the photovoltaic module at reduced assembly cost, even when the size of solar cells are increased.
Novelty: The microelectronic device transport method involves coupling a microelectronic device (116A-116G) e.g. solar cells to a roller assembly (108). The roller assembly is rotated to transport the microelectronic device from the carrier substrate (104) to a receiving substrate (106).
