High force vibration testing with wide frequency range
DWPI Title: Apparatus for vibration testing of test objects, has vibration controller coupled to shakers for controlling vibration of test object, and shaker assembly supporting test object for vibration of object by shakers
Abstract: A shaker assembly for vibration testing includes first and second shakers, where the first shaker includes a piezo-electric material for generating vibration. A support structure permits a test object to be supported for vibration of the test object by both shakers. An input permits an external vibration controller to control vibration of the shakers.
Use: Apparatus for vibration testing of test objects.
Advantage: The test object is connected to a test platform, which is connected to the PE shaker and mounts the test platform with the PE shaker to a head of the other shaker, thus providing combined excitation to unit under test. The shakers generate controlled vibration for a relatively lower frequency range.
Novelty: The apparatus has a shaker assembly including shakers e.g. piezo-electric (PE) shaker (12) and low frequency (LF) shaker (11), where the assembly supports a test object (13) for vibration of object by the shakers. One of the shakers includes a PE material for generating vibration, and the other shaker is rigidly fastened to the former shaker to generate vibration without using the material. A vibration controller (16) is coupled to the shakers for controlling vibration of the object. The controller includes an input to receive a feedback signal indicative of vibration of the former shaker.
