Computing architecture for autonomous microgrids

DWPI Title: Method for predicting amount of power that will be output by sources on micro grid, involves causing processor to compute and output value that is indicative of total amount of power predicted
Abstract: A computing architecture that facilitates autonomously controlling operations of a microgrid is described herein. A microgrid network includes numerous computing devices that execute intelligent agents, each of which is assigned to a particular entity (load, source, storage device, or switch) in the microgrid. The intelligent agents can execute in accordance with predefined protocols to collectively perform computations that facilitate uninterrupted control of the microgrid.
Use: Method for predicting amount of power that will be output by sources on microgrid.
Advantage: The power sources generate variable amounts of power over time, and consume variable amounts of power over time. The complexities are prevented microgrid are avoided from becoming deployed on a wide scale.
Novelty: The method (900) involves computing (904) an amount of power predicted to be output by the particular power source at a future point in time for the particular power source in the micro grid. The data pertaining to amounts of power predicted is outputted byseveral other power sources in the micro grid.A processor is caused to compute and output (908) a value that is indicative of a total amount of power predicted to be outputted by the particular power source and several other power sources in the micro grid at the future point.
