Security barriers, systems and methods

DWPI Title: Security barrier system for security arrangement, has hasp configured to deform or sever sensor to degrade, improve or otherwise cause change in sensed condition and sensor selected from group consisting of wire, cable, fiber and conduit
Abstract: Systems, arrangements, barriers and methods for detecting illicit attempts to compromise or penetrate a physical barrier are disclosed. The systems, arrangements, barriers and methods detect illicit attempts to pry, remove or compromise a security barrier from the surface or location it protects, by insider/outsider adversaries, when any type of cabled continuity sensor (optical, electrical) is woven, embedded, or interlaced through the security barrier.
Use: Security barrier system for security arrangement (claimed).
Advantage: The hasp is configured to deform or severe the sensor to degrade, improve or otherwise cause a change in the sensed condition when the outer unit moves relative to the base unit.
Novelty: The security barrier system (10) has a hasp (18) attached to a base unit (12). The hasp has a through passage (14,20,24,36). An outer layer (16) is joined to the base unit. A sensor (26) is passing or woven through the outer layer and the through passage of the hasp. The sensor is sensing a sensed condition. The hasp is configured to deform or sever the sensor to degrade, improve or otherwise cause a change in the sensed condition when the outer unit moves relative to the base unit. The sensor is selected from a group consisting essentially of a wire, cable, fiber and conduit.
