Radical-ion battery and operation thereof

DWPI Title: Radical-ion battery has second anionic electrode that is used when discharging half-reaction is performed in electrochemical cell
Use: Radical-ion battery.
Advantage: Exhibits good wetting and adhesion to the membrane material. Enables the radical-ion battery to be scaled to high production volumes, since the radical-ion battery may be employed in variety of settings, such as grid storage and vehicle electrification.
Novelty: The radical-ion battery (100) has an electrochemical cell (108) having an electrolyte, first free radicals, and second free radicals being different from the second free radicals. A first anionic electrode is used when charging half-reaction is performed in the electrochemical cell. A second anionic electrode is used when discharging half-reaction is performed in the electrochemical cell.
