| Novelty: The system (10) has communication nodes (15) that are in communication with one another. An information source provides information to the communication nodes. A client network is in communication with the three or more nodes. The communication nodes comprise two or more different types of communication based wireless communication devices. A processor (30) is configured to select one of the two or more wireless communication devices to communicate information received from the information source based on a determination of the reliability of wireless communication between the three or more nodes. The three or more communication nodes are located on three or more separate corresponding mobile platforms. The two or more different types of communication based communication devices are different devices and are selected from a group consisting of radio frequency devices, and optical transmission devices. |
