Alkyl dialkoxyalkanoates as bioderived, high cetane diesel fuels

DWPI Title: Blended fuel for an internal combustion engine, comprises fuel selected from gasoline, diesel, alcohol fuel, biodiesel, jet fuel, marine fuel, Fischer-Tropsch fuel, or combinations, and dialkoxyalkanoate compound corresponding
Use: Blended fuel for an internal combustion engine.
Advantage: The blended fuel has high-efficiency of homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) but can operate with some level of charge inhomogeneities, and can be prepared in a simple and environment-friendly manner continuously. The dialkoxyalkanoate compound can be as neat fuels or mixed fuels (with diesel, biodiesel, jet fuel, marine fuel, or other fuel compounds) in autoignition or spark ignition engines, such as diesel engines, gasoline (spark ignition) engines, mixing-controlled compression ignition (MCCI), HCCI engines, or more generally in low-temperature gasoline combustion (LTGC) engines (using gasoline-like fuels).
Novelty: Blended fuel comprises a fuel selected from gasoline, diesel, alcohol fuel, biodiesel, jet fuel, marine fuel, Fischer-Tropsch fuel, or combinations, and 5-30C dialkoxyalkanoate compound (I)
