Security system
DWPI Title: Security system for permitting pre-determined access to specialized instrument for sterilizing product in protection application, has structure for providing forceful breaching delay, where ends of strand are received by interface component
Abstract: A security system includes a structure having a structural surface. The structure is sized to contain an asset therein and configured to provide a forceful breaching delay. The structure has an opening formed therein to permit predetermined access to the asset contained within the structure. The structure includes intrusion detection features within or associated with the structure that are activated in response to at least a partial breach of the structure.
Use: Security system for permitting a pre-determined access to valuable asset i.e. specialized instrument, for sterilizing a product in a protection application.
Advantage: The structure has sufficient structural integrity to prevent unauthorized access of asset for a period of time deemed sufficient for security personnel, so that theft or unauthorized removal of the asset from the structure and tampering with the asset are prevented without breaching intrusion detection features upon entering a correct sequence of characters in a control panel.
Novelty: The system (10) has a structure (12) for providing a forceful breaching delay. The structure includes an opening (22, 23) formed to permit predetermined access to an asset (20) contained within the structure. Intrusion detection features (24) include a strand (50) of a flexible material extending within an interconnected edge unit (13). Opposed ends (52, 54) of the strand are received by an interface component (48). Sufficient damage to the strand is sensed by the interface component in generation of an alarm signal corresponding to partial breach of the structure.
