Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide materials and methods for forming
monodisperse particles. In one embodiment, the monodisperse particles can
be formed by first spraying a nanoparticle-containing dispersion into
aerosol droplets and then heating the aerosol droplets in the presence of
a shell precursor to form core-shell particles. By removing either the
shell layer or the nanoparticle core of the core-shell particles,
monodisperse nanoparticles can be formed. |
