Abstract: | Illumination gradients in a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image of a
target can be mitigated by determining a correction for pixel values
associated with the SAR image. This correction is determined based on
information indicative of a beam pattern used by a SAR antenna apparatus
to illuminate the target, and also based on the pixel values associated
with the SAR image. The correction is applied to the pixel values
associated with the SAR image to produce corrected pixel values that
define a corrected SAR image. |
