| Abstract: Techniques for coarsening a quadrilateral mesh are described. These
techniques include identifying a coarsening region within the
quadrilateral mesh to be coarsened. Quadrilateral elements along a path
through the coarsening region are removed. Node pairs along opposite
sides of the path are identified. The node pairs along the path are then
merged to collapse the path. |
